Air Intake System Car
It is an air admission system designed to completely replace the OEM air-box of the car. It is designed to increase engine performance both in terms of power (HP) and torque (N·m).
DIA, CDA and OTA are Universal Products, even though there are several specific versions, which can be found with the Product Search bar in the dedicated area: Specific Kits. If your car does not have a specific intake system, the Universal Version is what you need.
BMC intake systems have several versions which differ by size. To choose the correct version verify how much space you have after removing the air-box. Choose a version that fits the space (not too big). If possible, avoid air-flow bottlenecks: verify your intake diameter and compare it with the intake diameter of the BMC air system. The more similar they are the better. Tip: reducers are available therefore the two measurements can differ and be adapted with connection reducers.
Once you have chosen your intake system remember that Universal Versions do not have the specific mounting accessories required to properly install the kit to your car. Find out which accessories you need (we suggest you ask your mechanic/tuner for advice) and purchase them separately. BMC has a number of accessories available which are specifically designed for mounting BMC intake systems.
BMC also suggests that you program your ECU in order to optimise the stoichiometric ratio provided by the air intake system.
Thanks to its extended filtration surface the airflow to the engine is in constant pressure.
The structure of the CRF is made of carbon fibre which interfaces directly with the original air-box, providing a perfect seal, easy mounting and reduced total weight whilst having excellent characteristics in terms of rigidity and mechanical resistance.
The filtering element is made of a special multi-layer filtration material in RACE configuration which is impregnated with low viscosity oil held between epoxy-coated (to prevent oxidation) aluminium mesh. This enables increased permeability and low air flow resistance guaranteeing highly efficient filtration.
The structure is conceived with the objective of withstanding the vibrations and heat produced in movement both in normal road and intensive track use.
The Oval Trumpet Airbox is a patented complete kit for engine air aspiration and filtration.
Oval shape of the air box designed to enable high versatility for the installation of the device.
High thermal insulation from heat sources by means of an air box in “true” carbon fibre at 5 layers.
Air filter with re-generable material which warrants an high filtration efficiency with reduced drops.
Oval Trumpet: sophisticated and designed inner system for the channelling, conveyance and increase of the air flow by introducing an innovative system/air conveyor named “Trumpet”. The Trumpet, placed inside the OTA device on the air outlet side, enables to additionally increase the quantity of air to the engine by taking advantage from the dynamic conveyance given by its peculiar shape.
Air box with sealing system enabling to guarantee the best sealing among the components, such providing the best pressure tight of the device at any Rpm.
The CDA filtering system (patented) is a cylindrical shaped Carbon Airbox containing a washable, regeneratable filter.
Thank to its dynamic air intake it can create a real supercharging system that conveys a faster and greater flow of fresh air to the airbox that help to increase the engine performance in terms of:
- Power
- Torque
The CDA is available in two different versions:
- Universal: fitting most vehicles
- Specific: customized with individual components
Thanks to the experience gained by BMC in creating supercharging dynamic airboxes, BMC have developed the Direct Intake Airsystem (DIA) and the Junior filtration system.
The philosophy of BMC’s top range product, the Carbon Dynamic Airbox (CDA) is behind the DIA, a system that, with its particular structure, ensures that aspirated air is carried to the engine at a higher speed and capacity in respect to traditional systems, thus providing significant gains in engine performance.
The DIA consists of a plastic air box containing an air flow deflector and a reusable filtering element. The universal kit also contains a flexible tube to carry fresh air to the inside of the air box, a connector sleeve and two reducers to allow installation in standard applications.
